Redefining Kettlebell Training: Beyond the Big 6
With Josh Henkin and Jessica Bento
In 2001, I invested in my first kettlebell, and I was immediately hooked by how versatile this tool could be for training both my clients and myself. My passion for kettlebells grew so quickly that by 2003, I attended my first kettlebell certification. Since then, I’ve taught countless kettlebell certifications and training workshops worldwide—even in Moscow (the birthplace of kettlebells)!
I was thrilled to see kettlebells becoming more accessible, giving people powerful, functional fitness tools. However, over the past decade, while kettlebells have become as common as dumbbells, their use has often become stagnant or, in some cases, even regressed. Many people miss out on the full potential that kettlebells can offer beyond the basic exercises.
That’s why, alongside physical therapist Jessica Bento, we’ve made it our mission to redefine kettlebell training for the modern coach and client. In our new Progressive Kettlebell Movement system, we focus on how to properly implement, program, and problem-solve with kettlebells in ways that go beyond the standard “big six” kettlebell movements. It’s not just about being different—it’s about unlocking the untapped potential of kettlebells to help you achieve your fitness, corrective exercise, and performance goals more effectively than ever before.
Jessica and I invite you to join us for a FREE webinar with Perform Better on December 10th, where we’ll dive into our Progressive Kettlebell Movement system.
