Performance Enhancers – We All Need Them
Performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) are substances or compounds designed to elevate physical and mental capabilities beyond natural limits, transforming the way athletes push the boundaries of human performance. In the high-stakes world of competitive sports, PEDs are a fascinating yet controversial topic, intertwining science, ethics, and human ambition to push the limits of what the human body can achieve. Nonetheless, it is likely that ALL of us use some sort of PED. It isn’t always about anabolic steroids. As an advisor to the ENHANCED games, we will see what the new frontier in performance will bring us. (Lecture Only)

3-Step Process for Prescribing Corrective and Functional Exercise
Identifying and prescribing the best and most effective corrective and functional exercises can be extremely overwhelming. During this lecture Dr. Lee Burton will describe a simple 3 step process that will make it much easier to do. This presentation will show a simple process to identify the areas of dysfunction and pain. Dr. Burton will then describe how using corrective and functional exercise to target the dysfunctional patterns can actually improve the areas of pain. Data from several population groups will be shared in order highlight the typical areas of dysfunction and pain. Specific exercises to address these common problems will be offered as well during this session.

Simplifying Low Back and Neck Pain: A Strategy of Calibration vs. Correction
Low back pain is not a diagnosis (even though it is billed as one.) LBP is a symptom of epidemic proportions. Current management of the condition focuses on the many different methods of treating the pain. What is overlooked is each individual’s list of highly-associated problems that accompany neck and low back pain. A system or strategy is required to organize and prioritize these associated dysfunctions – and that’s the secret to my success with spine pain. Gray’s lecture will cover his checklist and techniques for his rehabilitation strategy. The hands-on lab will demonstrate those techniques.

Frontal Plane Fundamentals: Lower Body Training
Athletic performance hinges on your ability to possess multi-directional strength and power. In addition, building a durable and robust lower body means that the hips and knees can perform at high levels outside of just the sagittal plane. The often forgotten frontal plane, which represents side-to-side and lateral movements, is rarely discussed or trained in the world of Strength & Conditioning. Frontal Plane Fundamentals: Lower Body Training sets out to shift that paradigm through sound training strategies, rationale and methods for immediate application.

Gait, Grounding, and Human Performance
Most aspects of human movement and performance can in some way be correlated to gait. The way we arrange, orient, and subsequently produce force through different aspects of our body during this forward locomotion relies on some foundational capabilities. Grounding requires aligned compression of each side of the body and is dependent on the ability to create rotational, downward forces into the surface below and then be able to sense ground reaction forces back up into the body. This lecture will go into details about some of the important aspects that is often not appreciated as it relates to these aspects of human performance, as well as some observations, assessments and interventions that can produce immediate, appreciable changes in this grounding sense. The hands-on will go deeper into specific assessments and activities that can be easily performed with profound results along with applications specific to rehab and training programming.

Radiant Renewal: Using Life’s Challenges to Ignite Authentic Fitness Transformation
This lecture explores how fitness coaching fosters deep transformation for clients and ourselves by integrating vulnerability and self-reflection. Our personal stories, along with pain, discomfort, and obstacles, act as beacons, guiding us toward greater awareness and choice—the foundations of authentic change. Recognizing fitness as a form of self-care rather than mere work empowers growth rooted in integrity. As coaches, we are entrusted to create a safe, nonjudgmental space that embraces life’s messiness without aiming to “fix” it. By prioritizing curiosity and openness, we cultivate genuine relationships that support vulnerability, authenticity, and the real possibility in coaching of meaningful lasting transformation. (Lecture Only)
Bend, Bounce, Breathe, and Balance: The Playful Path to Authentic Transformation
This hands-on underscores that the best coaches master the fundamentals while embracing a playful approach. Coaches who cultivate a curious and compassionate environment nurture relationships that inspire lasting change. Participants will revisit the “B’s” of movement—bending, bouncing, breathing, and balancing—learning to identify asymmetries, pain, or limited range of motion as invaluable indicators for improvement. By focusing on awareness instead of judgment, we unlock each individual’s potential for becoming their strongest, most authentic self. Integrating insights from “Radiant Renewal,” this session emphasizes how transformation arises through self-reflection, curiosity, and genuine connection, establishing a solid foundation for meaningful, lifelong growth in both fitness and personal development. Building a Winning Culture on Purpose: The Blueprint for Success
"Culture" has quickly become a point of focus in the business world. While numerous definitions and descriptions exist for what constitutes "Culture," there is a noticeable lack of frameworks providing guidance on the "how-to" of constructing a culture that people can't stop talking about. Legendary Coach Bill Walsh once said, "The culture precedes positive results. It doesn’t get tacked on as an afterthought on your way to the victory stand. Champions behave like champions before they’re champions: they have a winning standard of performance before they are winners." This lecture will give you the tools you need to build a winning culture, on purpose. (Lecture Only)

This is also known as “constraints-based coaching.” Help yourself be a better coach by using tools and positions as “assistant coaches.” This gives you more time to interact with your clients in ways that matter most. In every sport, games and match–ups are decided by a fraction of an inch or getting to the spot a millisecond sooner. Because of this, every athlete works to achieve any speed advantage they can. In this session, trainers and coaches will learn specific speed, agility and quickness techniques that can be used with athletes ranging from age 7 to the professional level. This session will help you get your athletes the ultimate advantage in their sport. What makes This Session Different?
